The McCormick Group is pleased to have assisted in the placement of Kevin Kepner as General Counsel with The REMADE Institute, Rochester, NY
The Reducing Embodied-energy And Decreasing Emissions (“REMADE”) Institute is one of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)-led institutes in the multiagency network known as Manufacturing USA. The mission of the REMADE Institute is to enable the early stage applied research and development of key industrial platform technologies that could dramatically reduce the embodied energy and carbon emissions associated with industrial-scale materials production and processing. By focusing its efforts on the technologies that will eliminate and/or mitigate the technical and economic barriers that prevent greater material recycling, recovery, remanufacturing, and reuse, the REMADE Institute seeks to motivate the subsequent industry investments that will be required to complete technology development and deploy these technologies across the U.S. manufacturing eco-system.
Kevin Kepner was formerly Associate General Counsel of Xerox Corporation and a member of the Office of the General Counsel Senior Leadership Team. Kevin held a leadership role as AGC of Developing Markets Organization in addition to a Business Group Operations Role. He has counseled developing markets organizations in the US, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, India and Asia. He is Lean Six Sigma trained and has previously been in the private practice of law.
