Andi Cullins recently founded The DirectHer Network, a community designed to increase the number of women serving on corporate boards through proactive referrals. The organization’s mission is: to identify and refer talented, board-ready women candidates for corporate board service, to influence corporate boards through proactive campaigns to appoint more board-ready women, to work collaboratively with existing programs that train women for board service, and with other like-minded organizations, in order to refer more women to board positions. The network’s membership includes representatives from organizations like Women in International Trade, The Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia, DirectWomen and 20/20 Women on Boards. Andi hopes that these organizations will participate in joint programming in upcoming months.
