The Human Resource Leadership Awards celebrated the HR industry and its leaders for the 15th year in a row at the Annual Gala on June 7, 2016. The event featured special guest Michelle Bolles, Vice President of Administration at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as a welcome speech by Dr. J.P. London, Executive Chairman and Chairman of the Board of CACI International Inc.
The McCormick Group has a history of supporting the HRLA. Elizabeth Humphrey, Managing Principal of Not-for-Profits & Associations and Human Resources, previously served as Co-Chair of the HRLA in 2011, 2012, and 2013, and chaired the Alumni Committee in 2014. In 2005, McCormick Group Senior Vice President Lyles Carr was honored with the Sister Eymard Gallagher Award for Service to Others. The McCormick Group was a featured sponsor of the gala this year and was represented by Elizabeth Humphrey, Susy Howard, and Alexandra Tran.
The Human Resource Leadership Awards are the only independent awards that promote and advance excellence in the HR profession in the greater Washington, DC area. Established in 2001, the Awards celebrate outstanding service and strategic vision in the areas of organizational leadership, risk-taking, innovation, vision, communication, service to the broader community, and commitment to ethical behavior.
