Lyles Carr is probably one of the best connected executives in town. While his day job is working for executive search firm The McCormick Group Inc., he’s made a second career out of hobnobbing with business and civic leaders, serving on the boards of directors or advisory councils of The Economic Club of Washington, The District of Columbia Workforce Invest Council, The Greater Washington Board of Trade, ACT for Alexandria, Community Wealth Ventures, Commonwealth Academy, theatreWashington and The Heart of America Foundation. He’s gotten a slew of recognition for his work, including being named volunteer of the year in 2008 by the Greater Washington Board of Trade and Washingtonian of the year in 2002 by Washingtonian magazine.
