TMG’s Steve Nelson was quoted in an article in Law360 by Alison Knezevich entitled BigLaw Hiring from Gov’t Up As Trump Slashes Agencies. In the article, he said that the increase in hiring at the associate level was understandable because firms have had a larger pool of high-quality government candidates than they had in previous changes of administration. Moreover, he said that while many government lawyers are having a hard time finding partner and counsel positions, those with backgrounds in international trade and antitrust are of more interest to firms.
